School Pleated Skirts

Wearzo manufactures school skirts to order in poly-viscose suiting with heat-set pleats — box or knife pleats that stay sharp through repeated washing rather than dropping out after a term. Waist grading with length set to your school's standard, and shade matched by lab dip before bulk.

Pleats That Hold Their Line

School Pleated Skirts — construction detail

A school skirt lives or dies by its pleats. A pressed-in pleat that has not been set properly relaxes and goes flat after a few washes, and the skirt looks untidy for the rest of the year. Wearzo heat-sets the pleats, which fixes them into the poly-viscose fabric so they hold their line through repeated washing. Box pleats or knife pleats, a fixed or part-elastic waist, and a length set to your school's standard are all specified to your design.

Fabric & Construction

Poly-Viscose Suiting with Heat-Set Pleats

Poly-viscose suiting fabric close-up — around 245 GSM, 2/2 twill

The poly-viscose content is what makes heat-setting work: polyester holds a thermally set crease, so a pleat pressed and set at the right temperature stays put in a way a pure-cotton pleat cannot. The 2/2 twill gives the skirt body and drape. GSM is published as a range and confirmed on your approved sample.

Shade Families

Skirts are usually ordered in a deep school shade to match the programme. Some shades are fabric-dependent and confirmed per order.

Box Pleats vs Knife Pleats

Two pleat styles cover most school designs. Box pleats are wide, flat folds facing away from each other, giving a fuller, more formal skirt. Knife pleats are narrower folds all facing one direction, for a sharper, more tailored line. Both are heat-set.

Why are prices not listed on this page?

Pricing is quoted, not listed. Pleat style and count, length, size mix and order quantity each change the cost, so a single listed price would mislead.
